My name is Stanislav Vorona, I have been writing poetry for ten years. This fall my debut collection of poems "Night and Light" is being published with the support of Dobrosphera Inc. by Alyona Maslova.

The title “Night and Light" shows the structure of the collection: the first part called "Night" reveals the grim manifestations of the human soul: apathetic fatigue, bodily impotence, indifference, defiance of punished stereotypes, opposing boring studies to exciting creativity, searching for inner balance, lack of courage, emotional contradictions, struggling with bad habits, consequences of family conflicts and teenage years, experiencing the difficult political situation.

The second part of "And" contains many ballads about one-sided love, adultery, aging and standardization of creative people, the hope for love, poems about the relationship of the dark and light side inside us, a certain predestination and at the same time the constant possibility of choice, the fears of living in vain. This honor concludes with an inspiring text called "Shine”.

The last part, "Light", speaks for itself. Here and my subjective understanding of success, immortality of the soul of the creator, easy and laid-back attitude to girls who are not interested in me, mockery of pop cliches, underground philosophy, true happiness from the end stage of formation, faith in themselves and their dreams, submission of their desires, comprehension of art to be happy.

With my poetry book I wanted to say the following:

1.Sometimes it is possible to deceive the object orientation of our brain if we give vent to our negative emotions, knowing that the dark side will pass. Perhaps that is why we are fascinated by depressive Joy Division, bellicose Metallica, and gloomy Black Sabbath, though we cannot say for sure. Of course, total immersion into the darkness is dangerous, but that's why we are human beings, to find light in it. That creates a tragicomic effect.

2. If your songs are dull, either you have not gained experience, or you have not been given an ability to write songs. If they are understood by a large enough group of people, among whom there are private musicians, that's great. There will always be those who will misunderstand you. Talent is not a gift, it's a certain innate disposition. If you want it and develop it, it can work. Even if they say, "Robert Plant is a genius, nobody can play like him", you don't have to be a second Robert Plant if you are a guitarist, a second Byron if you are a poet, a second Michelangelo if you are a painter. Suppose you really feel the power to create, experiment and reflect.

Being dependent on love is bad. Developing self-sufficiency is good. Relationships end sooner or later. The creative world you which you made will stay inside you forever.

You've all heard of Mozart, Salieri, Paganini. Each of them has his dark side. There is a joking expression: "The devil never comes to a talentless person". Love the negative qualities of your character because they can also inspire you!
